We'll Come To You!

If your historic site or event location can accommodate an animal visit, contact us.  If your site isn't suitable for an animal demonstration, consider engaging a speaker from “Hoofprints”.  We can provide a variety of animal/agriculture related presentations that will add interest to any agenda.  Here are some examples:

~  Animals : so much more than just a breakfast food!

This presentation provides information on the characteristics of the major domestic animals and how these animals shaped history through interactions with humans.

~ Using animals effectively at historic sites

Learn how to chose an animal that fits your site, how to care for your feathered and furred interpreters and how to deal with common problems like space and financial limitations, safety and animal-welfare concerns.

~ Draft Animals: Oxen and Horses

This presentation provides an overview of the importance of draft animals in civilization and explores how the physical and psychological characteristics of horses and cattle influence the utility of these animals under varying conditions.

~ The Art and Science of Dairying

Since the late 19th century, dairying has changed from an art/cottage industry run by women, to a science/international industry, operated primarily by men.  Whether art or science, the dairy cow has had a significant impact on civilization.
